Mono Ethylene Glycol (MEG) is a colorless, practically odorless and viscous liquid organic compound. It has a sweetish taste and is miscible in water, alcohol, ether, acetone, and ethylene glycol. APPLICATIONS: Mono Ethylene Glycol is primarily used as a raw material in the manufacture of polyester fibers and fabric industry and polyethylene terephthalate resins (PET) used in bottling, and paints coating. A small percent is also used in other applications such as antifreeze formulations and other products.
